Feeding, Labelling, Final Outfeed Batch Feeder and Collation
This system utilises the same feeder/labeller system outlined above and adds the further dimension of re-batching at the outfeed for manual packing. The labelled cards are first of all counted into the programmable pre-set batch size on the outfeed collator conveyor and then, as part of the manual packing stage, a second LB feeder dispenses the requisite number of envelopes into a catch tray for the operator to marry up with the cards.

Large Sheet and Careful Handling
Artist boards of 400gsm up to A1 size in this application not only required pin-point label placement accuracy but also needed to be handled with care to avoid blemishes to its sensitive surface.
The Kora Packmat HSW rising pile top vacuum suction feeder provides the required sensitivity and a continuous flow of the boards onto the transport conveyor for labelling by the versatile Eurokett Junior. Loading of the boards is easy via the rising support table and the rear edge datum is maintained by an anti-static sheet aligner.
Precision Labelling and Timed Feed into Cartoning Machine
With the high standards of pack integrity of the pharmaceutical industry in mind, this system was developed to ensure that each information booklet had a label applied to with in +/-1mm and was then fed into the waiting infeed of a cartoning machine.
The Kora Packmat LB feeder was fitted a vacuum outfeed for precise product location and a Eurokett Junior mounted directly above the vacuum belts. As an additional safety measure the system was fitted with low reel/label out/web break alarms and an extra check to ensure each pack had the label in place before entry into the wrapper. Any of these faults resulted in both audible and visual alarms together with auto-shutdown of feeder, labeller and cartoner.
